Facebook is an online social networking and media service. It is based in California. Facebook was launched on February 4, 2004 by Mark Zuckerberg.
Facebook is one of the largest social media sites with more than 750 million users.
Facebook's stated mission is "to give people the power to share and make the world more open and connected." Facebook is designed to be free for its users; it should give them control of their information and who can access it, according to the company's statement of principles.
Facebook also makes money through its virtual gift store, which can allow users to buy virtual gifts for each other.
Instagram-
The purpose of Instagram is simply to connect users through the use of posting pictures on the app and people socializing with each other and connecting.
Instagram can be used for the purpose of advertising your business through adverts. You can pay Instagram and then you can post picture posts with a banner below that you can click on it and it will redirect you to the product that is being advertised. Instagram was created by Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger, and launched in October 2010 as a free mobile app. There is over 450 million users on this social media app.
Twitter: Jack Dorsey Created Twitter and over 600 million people use this app with 370 million tweets per day. The app allows you to tweet 140 character tweets and the main purpose is for users to be able to interact with each other by 'following' 'tweeting' and 'liking', this is a form of connecting with other people through social media. Also, you can follow celebrities on twitter and watch what they say on the app which overall could be some people's main purpose to use the app.
