My social media app, Animal Hut is an app that lets users adopt animals from other users. With every social media app there needs to be privacy and security measurements that need to be made to protect my app and the users on it.
One way in which I will do this is when users sign up and pick a password, it will have to have cap locks and numbers to insure that no one can try and hack into their account as it makes it harder with a complicated password.
In addition, if a user forgets their password, they will need to enter an answer to the security question they picked when signing up, e.g. Mother's maiden name. This is so if you forget your password, you can easily log back in if you prove it is you.
Another way I will protect my users through security is if someone feels like they are being bullied or harassed or do not like something they can see, they can report the user (s) to by clicking the report button on their profile. This lets us dig deeper into the problem.
Also, if a user uploads bad language on the app, it immediately takes it down and reports it to me. This stops people from being offended by other peoples language.
Members can take security measures such as setting their profile to private if they do not want other people to see their profile who they haven't added. Also they can block certain members from contacting them or seeing their page, this is another security measure that users can take.
